At the start of 2021, I was feeling really run down and unhappy with myself, so I decided to start training with Cliona. I trained with Cliona for over 12 weeks and every single week I felt that I had achieved something. I saw so much change, not only on the outside, but also on the inside. Before training with Cliona, I had been a member at five different gyms and tried two different training programmes. I used to think that I had to over-exercise, eat less, and feel tired to get results. Thankfully, training with Cliona proved this wrong, as she showed me that I could eat more, have a balanced life, and actually see long-lasting results. I would 100% do it again, as Cliona was such a positive influence in my life throughout those 12 weeks. She showed so much kindness and understanding towards me, which genuinely helped me to show it to myself.
I will be forever grateful for Selkie! In the 12 weeks I worked with Cliona it was not only my physique that changed but my overall confidence and mindset too. As a coach she is there with you every step of the way; she always picked me up when I was down and ensured I was managing my stress-levels, working hard but also taking necessary breaks when needed. Rather than focusing entirely on fitness and physique Cliona helps her clients to find balance by emphasising the importance of stress-management, sleep and mindfulness too, all of which I now incorporate into my daily life. Cliona’s passion for coaching is so clear and I really cannot recommend her enough!
I worked with Cliona for about 8 months, and they were honestly some of the best months of my life. In the beginning, I had very little knowledge of how to properly track, work out, and on how to maintain a healthy balance with food. Cliona knew exactly on what way to approach this new lifestyle with me, and was with me every step of the way. There was no question too silly, or a problem too big. If you are looking for someone who will understand your needs and lifestyle, and adapt your new lifestyle around this; Cliona is your girl. From detailed check-ins with constructive advice, to just general chats about life, Cliona is an all rounder and is not concerned with a ‘get fit quick’ approach. She wants to ensure this program sticks with you for life and I can genuinely say it has. Cliona is genuinely one of the most fantastic people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing/ working with and I cannot wait to work with her again.

I started with Cliona with the intention of getting back into the gym and focusing on myself more than I had been. I hadn’t been back to the gym in a while and was nervous to go back after so long. Having Cliona there to talk through goals and create a plan put me at ease and motivated me to focus on myself. She is extremely understanding and approachable with any issues I was having. Her coaching is done in a way that is sustainable and fits into a normal busy life. Highly recommend no matter what stage on your fitness journey!
Cliona was so supportive throughout the few months I worked with her and was always there to help keep me on track and adapt my plan to my lifestyle! Even whilst I was sick she was always there to give tips and motivation to help me recover so I could get going again with my plan. I have learned so much from her and have found that since finishing up with her I have still continued to stick to working out and focusing on my nutrition as I enjoyed the programme so much (I have never experienced this with any other programmes I have done so this was a big win!). Overall I would really highly recommend working with Cliona!
I had been going to the gym, practising with coaches for a few years but was feeling totally lost with regards to nutrition. I’d tried for ages to educate myself on my own but never had the healthiest mindset towards food and would go from 0% control to 100% obsessive control so finally I decided to work with a coach who offered nutritional support too and a friend recommended Cliona. Straight away she was so supportive and understanding and I found her so approachable. My biggest concern was about feeling judged etc with a private coach but Cliona is just so sweet and she’s so full of knowledge and manages to share her knowledge and tips and advice in such a caring way that made me feel so at ease with her. I loved the workouts and that we were able to make them tougher as we went on despite me working from home with minimal equipment. I learnt so much and built so many healthy habits in all aspects of wellness including sleep and mindset that I’ve kept up since finishing with Cliona I feel like I got so much out of my time with her 🥰
Where do I even start.. As a bigger girl, I checked all the boxes for low self esteem, gym anxiety, poor attitude towards food and exercise and Cliona worked absolute magic on me. It can seem so scary starting with a PT as a bigger person, especially if you’re not used to the gym/calorie counting/etc, but Selkie is a lifestyle, not a diet or program. Cliona advocated for habit and mindset changes far more than any number on a scale and I can honestly say I am at the first time in my life where I feel like I think about my body and my lifestyle in a positive way, instead of always being so hard on myself (and I shaped up too which is always a bonus!). So so grateful for all Cliona has done for me and cannot wait to work with her again in the future 💜

When I started with Cliona I just wanted to try to get stronger and learn more about my body. I have loved my time with Selkie! I did 5 months and never expected to learn and grow as much as I did. When I started Selkie I had an idea of what I wanted to achieve from having a PT but I didn’t realise what selkie actually involved. I have learned so much from being with Cliona more than I could even imagined! I had started with an image of me progressing in the gym and getting more toned and progressing with everything I had already learned. Coming out of this experience I have improved my appearance so much but even more than that I’ve learnt so much about myself and who I am. This is the experience you get when joining Selkie. It’s not all about your appearance and that is what Cliona has helped me so much over these last few months. Working with Cliona over the past few months has been an incredible experience. Cliona went above and beyond to provide a bespoke programme for my desired physique goals and busy timetable, advising and consulting me on my aesthetic and mindset goals. I have been training for several years so I felt comfortable in the gym but Cliona pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and to try new things. Outside of the gym, Cliona’s mindset coaching is unparalleled. There were days where I felt unmotivated and indifferent to training (and general well-being), Cliona was a driving support for me through these moments and taught me so much about myself. I’ve been working with Cliona for about 9 months now and the whole journey has been amazing. I started at a time where my focus was losing weight. I wasn’t feeling happy in my body and wanted to change. The SelkieFit plan was so thorough and detailed that it really helped me in every aspect of well-being, not just food and training. This is my second time around being part of the Selkie Community and being coached by Cliona! Last time I was mainly physique focused, over lockdown wanted a good routine to get into, and a solid workout plan, it was the best thing I did, hence why I came back! This time I was moving job and moving to a new Apartment so I just felt I needed help setting up a solid routine into my life. I felt like I was all over the place with my nutrition and just had no solid workout plan! Of course Cliona helped me so much and I quickly got into a good routine, tracked at the start then recently stepped away from tracking and Cliona encouraged me to start thinking more intuitively, which was a game changer for my mental health! Cliona is so helpful, pushed me when I needed a push and always told me how it was, but I never felt pressured, it was more about enjoying the process! The workout plans changed constantly which I loved and I just got stronger! I never thought I would be able to get stronger than I was before starting with Cliona, I thought I had just hit a plateau and that was it! I was happily proved wrong! I just feel very set up now going at things by myself but also remind myself Cliona is always there if I need her! Thanks again gal!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time doing SelkieFit. Initially my goal was fat loss and to feel more like myself again after getting into a bit of a rut with lack of exercise and just motivation in general. I honestly cannot get over the difference in the person I am this time this year compared to this time last year and it’s all thanks to Cliona. I could not have wished to work with a better coach and now friend. She is so supportive, non-judgemental, motivational and has so much knowledge about fitness and nutrition – I feel that I have learned so much from her. I have been working with Selkie for almost 2 years and have done a variety of training plans during this time. I initially signed up with the aim of being more consistent and to ‘tone up’ but Cliona has helped me with sooo much more. From reverse dieting to mini bulks, training around injuries, correcting poor form, fixing hormonal imbalances and general good nutrition just to name a few. Cliona’s an amazing coach and I found she was extremely flexible, reliable and supportive in terms of my specific goals. She was always happy to adapt depending on if I was looking for either more or less of a hands on approach. I began selkie during lockdown and I honestly don’t know where I would be without it ! Cliona put me in an amazing mindset and routine over lockdown which helped my mental health in such a difficult time. Over the years I have been on and off with fitness and nutrition but always fell into a slump and never could stick it out. Cliona completely changed my whole mindset towards the gym and nutrition. The gym always felt like a task to me, something I had to do to lose weight but now I have fallen in love with it ! I didn’t know it was possible to have such a different attitude towards health and fitness, I’m a completely different person than I was before doing selkie ! I have lost 7kgs with Cliona which I never knew was possible for me but what has been so much more important to me which I never knew it would be the love and dedication I have gained for my own body and fitness! I could not recommend Cliona enough, she is always there for you! I have learned so so much from Cliona in terms of nutrition/macros, hormones, and exercises which I will never forget. I’ve had the best experience with Cliona and cannot recommend her enough. I had been in the gym for a few years and enjoyed it. However, I felt like I was getting nowhere with it, so I was looking to structure my training more. I started with Cliona to get that structure but got so much more in return… She’s so attentive and helpful in every aspect, whether it be nutrition, form checks, or tailoring programmes. I am quite particular with the way I like my training, and she got to know me so well that she nailed every programme she created for me, every time. Before I started Selkie I struggled with having consistency with exercise and was also a newbie to the gym. Cliona helped me develop goals, both short and long term ones, and designed a training programme around that. She made sure it was personalised and fit into my lifestyle, in such a realistic and doable way. She’s such a great coach, she always listened to my thoughts and tweaked the programme around them. I joined selkie when I was at a low point in terms of how I felt in my body. I was eating unconsciously, unmotivated and feeling a little overwhelmed as to where to start in achieving the goals I wanted. I had never been a gym goer before Selkie so Cliona started me off with home workouts, building up my confidence until I felt ready to brave the gym. I spent a year working with Cliona and can honestly say that my entire life changed for the better as a result. Cliona is a great listener and has an exceptional ability to understand her clients and tailor a plan to suit their needs whether that be a focus on pushing hard at the gym or prioritising down time to give your mind and body a break. My fear in finishing up with cliona was that I would fall back into a rut with no one holding me accountable but 4 months since finishing selkie, my habits both regarding food, workouts and my overall wellbeing as a priority are still as much a focus for me as before. Cliona is much more than just a fitness coach, she takes an entire lifestyle approach and helped me to understand that working on myself was something I was doing for me and not because I should or I had to. I did 16 weeks with Cliona. My goal was to keep up a more sustainable approach and mindset towards health and fitness to adjust from an all or nothing/quick fix approach to something I enjoy keeping up year round. Cliona tailored a programme for me perfectly, facilitating home workouts early on and getting me into the gym more regularly and then changing my approach as my goals changed. It became so easy to work everything into my routine that it soon became second nature. The weekly check-ins were such good motivation and it really helped to know someone else was on my side in all of it. If anyone is thinking about starting with Cliona I would 100% recommend it. I can’t express how much working with Cliona has changed my mindset towards fitness in a completely approachable and realistic way. I joined Selkie to push myself to the next level in training and having some guidance there was really beneficial. However I would say it really is more than just a fitness plan but a mindset change to a healthier and happier life! She covers all aspects of routine including sleep, recovery, nutrition and training and she’s extremely knowledgeable in all areas. Cliona was like meeting someone in the right place at the right time but I did not quite realise that for a while. Cliona helped me come out of a place that involved bad habits, no consistent exercise and a very negative mindset and outlook towards what being healthy actually is. I didn’t realise how bad my mindset was until we progressed to places I didn’t even know were possible. Cliona allowed me to develop a holistic relationship with food and exercise but most importantly taught me how to love myself and how important that actually is. Cliona pushed me on days I didn’t believe I had anything left and was there to show me support on days I needed it the most. At the beginning of Selkie I had no idea what to expect having never had a coach before, nevermind an online coach. Cliona completely embodies the word coach rather than PT because she provides a holistic service by catering to your physical, mental and social needs. Cliona tapped into me straight away and often I found her suggesting things that I was thinking before I even communicated them to her! She is the most understanding, kind, supportive and intelligent person that I have ever worked with and just watching her socials is inspiring. She is so professional but also friendly and warm and you know there is never any judgement. I felt like Cliona always wanted what was best for me and was willing to accomodate my busy work / social life without any issue. I have learnt so much from Cliona from nutrition, to sleep, to hormones and of course in the gym! Her knowledge is endless and there is no question too rogue! She gave me all the tools I needed to begin my own health and fitness journey (workout plan, macros, tracking sheets, her own guidance), and starting out she was really able to get a full picture of where I was with my overall health – sleep, steps, workouts, nutrition, mental health, everything! I’ve become so much more confident in myself since starting and have totally changed my mindset when it comes to looking after myself. Selkie and Clíona have been amazing! I did it for 5 months and it was an amazing learning curve in both nutrition and fitness. Clíona was the best support throughout!
